Salt Ayre cycle track, Lancaster, LA1 5JS
During the summer of 2016 we received the devastating news of Kyle’s death, shortly after his 16th birthday. We hope that the community will come together to raise awareness around youth suicide and to help raise funds to support the work of PAPYRUS, during our 24 hour cycle ride at Salt Ayre.
Our event will start at 10am during our Saturday morning ‘Cog Set coaching session’ and will continue until 10am Sunday morning. Our aim is to collectively attempt to cycle ‘around the world’ (18,000 miles). Participants can either cycle around the tarmac road circuit (available 24-hours) or around the ‘mountain bike’ track on the field (Sat. 10am – 8pm only).
Each rider can do as many laps as they want and the distance of each rider will be recorded, with the overall distance being plotted as we go along, to see how far we get around the world! If you have a bike computer, then great – if not, be prepared to count your laps.
